The Chief Dental Officer has announced that dental practices in England will be allowed to begin the process of reopening from Monday 8th June.

Our first priority has always been and will continue to be patient and staff safety, and, as a result, we will only open once we have taken the necessary precautions to ensure we deliver safe and effective treatment. We are working through these important details, and the national guidance to the way we work is due to be released to us this week ending 5th June. As you can appreciate only after receiving the guidance we will take the necessary steps to ensure we can re-open as quickly as possible whilst maintaining high levels of patient safety.

Our next update is likely to be on Friday evening, so please be patient with us in the meantime. Our updates will be on this page of our website; as well as on social media on Facebook and Instagram.

To begin with, we will prioritise urgent cases or patients who have been in the middle of existing treatment (and unable to see us for 2 months), so if you require care, please email us on team@gentledentalcaregroup.co.uk and we will be happy to help once we receive the guidance on Tuesday. Our phone lines are extremely busy, so we are best placed to respond by email.

We will naturally come back to you to offer an appointment once we have dealt with the above, but in line with guidance at present, for those requiring routine care, please do not attempt to contact us yet as we are giving priority to those in greater need.

We are determined to resume routine care as quickly as it is safe to do so and will keep you fully informed throughout the process. We envisage routine appointments will be available towards the end of July. We are currently also being advised hygiene services will be available towards the end of June. Our video consultation system will remain available going forward and we encourage our patients to make use of it where possible. Alternatively, please use the form below and we will endeavour to come back to you as soon as possible.

When we do return, social distancing procedures will remain in place in line with government guidance, so we will have a reduced volume of patients into the practice.
