Dr Amit Chauhan
Amit qualified as a Medical Doctor from the prestigious Barts and The London in 2015. During his medical degree, he obtained a BSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine, was awarded the Principal’s Prize for outstanding academic achievement and presented his research both nationally and internationally. Following completion of his Medical Foundation Training in 2017, he pursued his interest in various surgical specialities, gaining experience over a number of years in multiple Colorectal and Upper GI Surgery Departments across the West Midlands. He also regularly works as a Registrar, providing the highest standards of clinical care in a fast-paced Accident and emergency department, and is a provider of Advanced Life Support (ALS).
Amit has also worked as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the University of Birmingham and was responsible for coordinating and delivering direct teaching and high-fidelity simulation to both medical and dental students. He was heavily involved in writing both MCQ and OSCE questions as a certified medical school examiner.
Amit then obtained his Dental degree with honours from the highly respected King’s College London. He won a multitude of awards at Dental school, including “The Maurice Wohl Dental Practice Prize” for who in the opinion of staff, attained the highest standards of dental practice, and “The Academy of Operative Dentistry Award” in recognition of excellence and outstanding achievement in operative dentistry as nominated by senior members of the King’s Dental Institute. During his Dental Foundation Training, Amit looks forward to combining his passion for evidence-based, patient-centred care with his advanced surgical skills.
Amit is highly motivated by personal growth, is a cricket fanatic and loves making and up-cycling furniture during his free time.
