What is considered an emergency dental treatment?
Dear valued patient
With our recent decision to move all non-emergency appointments to the summer, we would like to give you some more information on our new operating policy and when you might need emergency dental treatment in the Croydon, Bromley and the Greater London area.
Emergency dental care is required if there is:
– Trauma to the teeth
– Pain for 48hrs or more
– Swelling or abscess
Below are some of the problems and treatments we can provide:
– Toothache can be caused from infection, decay or fractures. We can relieve pain by starting root canal treatment, removing teeth or giving antibiotics.
– Broken dentures can be fixed repaired.
– Wisdom tooth pain.
– Debonded crowns can be very urgent, especially if it’s a front tooth and can usually be recemented.
– Broken teeth or lost fillings can sometimes be very painful. Fillings can be patched or replaced during an emergency appointment if appropriate.
Please share this information with any friends or family who may need emergency care and please remember that all new patients remain welcome.
