Dr Iain Michael Soulsby
Iain has recently joined the team at our Bromley practice, and you can contact him directly on firstname.lastname@example.org. He studied dentistry at Guy’s Hospital from 1994 to 2000, where he also gained a BSc in Psychology focusing on the causes and treatment of dental phobia.
Since graduating, Iain has worked in general practice. During this time Iain has completed a number of courses of postgraduate study.
From 2005 to 2008, Iain completed the curriculum at the prestigious Dawson Institute in Florida. This has enabled him to diagnose and treat many of the problems related to tooth wear, the jaw joint, bite instability and pain in the muscles of the head and neck. More recently Iain has trained in the use of Cerezen, which is another complementary approach to treating bite and joint problems.
In addition to his focus on dental occlusion Iain has spent many years in general dentistry in the Bromley area. To advance his skills in restorative dentistry Iain completed the one-year study program with the Implant Academy, passing the final exam with distinction. This taught Iain the core knowledge required to accurately and predictably place restorations on dental implants.
Iain has lectured at The Royal Marsden Hospital regarding mouth care in cancer patients and has co-authored the Macmillan guide for head and neck cancer patients. He has also spoken in schools to a number of different age groups about dentistry and mouth care.
Iain lives in Blackheath with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys running, has completed a number of half-marathons, and is a keen cook.
